GPT Lag Remover – Privacy Policy
GPT Lag Remover is a browser extension by Project OWBA (The Walnut Trading Company). We do not read your chats or store page content. Trimming happens locally in your browser. The extension only talks to our own endpoints to validate your licence and fetch a small, signed policy file.
What we process
In the extension (locally on your device):
- A non-identifying install ID and your trim/theme preferences.
- A signed policy snapshot and a licence snapshot.
- If you sign in: an ID token (from our Hosted UI) to prove your plan.
On our servers (licensing only):
- Your email (only if you choose to sign in), account/plan status, install ID, token identifiers (e.g.,
jti), and expiry times.
What we never collect
- Chat content, prompts, messages, file uploads, or browsing history outside the extension’s target pages.
- Payment card details (subscriptions are handled by Stripe).
Where data goes
No chat content is transmitted to us. The extension makes data-only requests to:
- https://api.owba.uk/ (policy/licence)
- CloudFront fallback (policy)
- API Gateway (licence)
- Cognito Hosted UI (sign-in)
How we use data
- Authenticate your plan and enable Pro features.
- Prevent fraud/abuse (e.g., revocation lists, token audit).
- Never for advertising or profiling. We do not sell data.
Security
- All traffic is over HTTPS/TLS.
- The service worker verifies a KMS-signed policy and the integrity hash of the packaged
injected.jsbefore enabling features (fail-closed). - We do not load or execute remote code.
Retention
- Local tokens/preferences remain on your device until you sign out or remove the extension.
- Server-side licence/audit records are retained for 12 months (or while your account is active) and then deleted, unless required longer for fraud prevention or legal reasons.
Your choices
- Use “Sign out” in the extension popup to clear local tokens immediately.
- Request account/licence deletion at any time: owba.email@gmail.com.
Children
This extension is not directed to children under 13 (or under your jurisdiction’s age). We do not knowingly process children’s data.
